Vauxhall Corsa

The Vauxhall Corsa has been going since 1982 and is now in its 4th generation. The small hatchback is hugely popular due to some interesting designs, reliability and personality. There’s a lot to love about the Corsa, and it has won many an award including several ‘Car of the Year’ commendations!

While the original Corsa certainly wasn’t much to look at, sales figures showed people still liked it. In contrast the 4th generation Corsa is one of the most popular cars on the road. Available in both 3 and 5 door models, it has a range of engines from 1-1.7 litre that certainly get it moving. The cheeky styling and nippy performance mean the Corsa is also a lot of fun.

The Corsa is very pleasant to drive. It corners well and has sensitive steering on the way in, and the more powerful engines give you something to push on the way out. Questions have been asked of the slightly clunky gears in older models, but there’s really no issue in the latest one. There’s actually quite a lot of room in a Corsa, despite its small size. It’ll easily take 4 adults and a boot full of shopping, which means it’s ideal for new drivers to transport friends or families to do the school run and weekly shop. It really is a great little car.
